I suppose we should all be grateful that the “Mystery and Suspense” fiction section in the shop is significantly larger than our “True Crime” section - although both have their enthusiastic patrons. I’m more of a make-it-up-why-don’t-ya kind of guy, but I recognize that there’s something uniquely gripping about nonfiction accounts of horrendous crimes. That old saying that you couldn’t make it up? Sometimes, unfortunately, you don’t need to.
