As many of you will know, recently there has been some local controversy about remarks made by a pastor of one of Columbia’s churches regarding transgender people. In light of that, and because we ardently believe that books can help all of us understand things better and facilitate dialogue over difficult issues, we thought it would be a good idea to discuss some fiction and nonfiction books that address this topic.
