Throughout the month of April our friends at City of Refuge have been running a 30-day writing challenge in support of our refugee neighbors. Participants have been challenged to write one poem a day all month. The aim is to explore the healing power of sharing our voices in new ways through the varying lenses of language, culture, experiences, relationships, identity, and resilience - and to raise funds for the organization at the same time.
On Wednesday, May 17 we’ll be welcoming participants to Skylark to hear them recite some of the poems that were written during this process. Come along and enjoy the poetry and support City of Refuge in their important work. It will be a wonderful evening!
