Closed for COVID - January 15

We’re sorry to report that one of our beloved staff members has tested positive for COVID-19.

As soon as we learned the news yesterday we shut the shop and announced on social media. We’re so very grateful to everyone who has been kind enough to write and express their concern and well wishes. Y’all are wonderful.

The good, and most important, news is that the person’s symptoms are minor and we have all extremities crossed that things will remain that way.

Those staff members who qualify as “close contacts” to the employee in question are self-isolating and will be taking a test at the appropriate juncture, once the requisite period of time has passed. We miss then already and send them our best. (At least they all have plenty of good things to read while they stay home.)

In accordance with CDC guidelines, the shop is closed today. Tomorrow morning we will perform a thorough cleaning of all surfaces and then we plan to open as usual at 10:00 a.m. Those employees who will be working are of course perfectly safe to do so. That said, we are down several key folks and will be operating with a much-reduced staff for quite a while, so please be patient with us!
