BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME - Exclusive Launch Event on Wednesday, January 6!

We have been waiting for the publication of BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME, the wonderful second novel of Mary’s favorite writer, Julia Claiborne Johnson, for ages - and now the time is almost here! The book is published tomorrow, Tuesday January 5, and Skylark is excited and honored to be one of just a handful of independent book stores who are participating in what will be a (virtual) launch party for the ages the following evening.

On Wednesday at 6:00 p.m., Julia will be in online conversation with another Skylark favorite, Steven Rowley, author of LILY AND THE OCTOPUS, THE EDITOR and the forthcoming (in May) THE GUNCLE. It’s going to be a hugely entertaining discussion which you will not want to miss.

BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME is an absolute riot. Publishers Weekly gave it a starred review and called it a sizzling, rollicking comedy.
